Greetings to the Lawrence Community.

In a few weeks, we will begin textbook collection from all students.  All students will return their textbooks through their history classes. Please note the following collection dates:

  • Thursday, June 1               Grade 8
  • Monday, June 5                 Grade 7
  • Tuesday, June 6                 Grade 6

All books sent home must be returned with one exception. The CCSS mathematics books in grades 6, 7, and 8 are considered consumables and need not be returned. They are a soft-covered book and consist of two volumes.  All other math books (Geometry, Algebra, and Accelerated Mathematics) must be returned.

Grad Night will take place on Friday, June 2, 2017, which will also be a minimum day with dismissal at 12:30 PM.

Culmination will take place on Friday, June 9, 2017. Culmination begins at 8:00 AM. Please be prompt. The school will be on a reverse minimum day schedule that day and classes will start at 10:00 AM (warning bell at 9:50 AM). Every student who is participating in culmination activities will receive 2 (two) tickets. Additional tickets may be purchased at the Student Store for two dollars apiece and up to a limit of 4 (four) may be obtained.

Our school will be offering a summer session for students who need additional support in English Language Arts and mathematics. Priority will be given to students who are making unsatisfactory progress in one of the two areas.  Applications are available in the Attendance Office. Summer session will run from June 20, 2017 through July 19, 2017. Classes begin at 8:00 AM and end at 11:50 AM.

Thank you for your continued support!
